Motorola’s Signature 27 finally has a launch date. The company confirmed on November 5 for its next flagship, which will pair a 200MP periscope zoom camera with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip.
The phone first appeared at September’s Snapdragon Summit. The latest teaser puts a firm date on the second-generation flagship after Motorola previously promised a global release before the end of 2026.
What does the camera setup offer
Alongside the periscope camera, Motorola has confirmed a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor. It hasn’t yet detailed the full camera setup, which leaves some of that oversized rear housing unexplained.
For video, Motorola says its 3.5-degree optical image stabilization hardware works with Qualcomm stabilization technology for steady handheld footage. Its AI-powered video enhancement engine adjusts color tones by analyzing scenes before and during recording.
A high megapixel count will not answer the camera question. We need tests to judge how much detail the zoom retains and whether images look consistent when switching between cameras, especially in low light.
What else is Motorola promising
Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system includes liquid metal and a redesigned vapor chamber that is 40% larger than its predecessor. The company says it helps manage heat during sustained gaming and video usage.
The Signature 27 also introduces Bang & Olufsen audio to Motorola phones. How this partnership translates into sound quality requires a listen rather than a logo check.
For buyers planning to keep the phone longer, Motorola promises seven OS upgrades and up to seven years of security updates from global launch. Check the commitment for your specific model and market, as coverage also varies by carrier.
When can you actually buy one
Motorola’s US teaser page is live and accepting sign-ups for updates, but it doesn’t list a price or purchase date. The global launch schedule also does not specify when sales will begin in each market.
November 5 is the next date to check these details. If Signature 27 is on your shortlist, wait for local pricing and a confirmed on-sale date before making plans to buy it.
