Motorola today fully announced the Signature 27 phone that it tested in September. This ultra-high-end phone seeks to redefine what a flagship phone can be, with several specifications that outclass every other high-end phone available in the US today. Its 6.8-inch display has 449 ppi sharpness, Dolby Vision, and an infinite 12,000 nits peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. The battery rises to a whopping 7,000 mAh and it quickly up to 90 watts. Its three rear cameras include a 50-megapixel main, 50-megapixel wide-angle, and a 200-megapixel 3x periscope telephoto. It also has a unique “EVS Action Sensor” that helps the other cameras produce better photos when the phone and/or subject are in motion. It can also record 8K video and the front camera is 50 megapixels. It has coaxial stereo speakers with audio from Bang & Olufsen. It also sports an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, IP69 rating for water, military ratings for durability, and UWB. It also has six antennas, for better 5G and Wi-Fi performance. It is powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip (with vapor chamber cooling) paired with 12 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 512 GB UFS 4.1 storage. The phone will also be Motorola’s first to support GrapheneOS, a “de-Googled” version of Android. The Signature 27 comes in two colors: Capulet Olive with a “brushed textile” finish, and Coal Smoke with a “tactical weave” finish. In the US, it will be available unlocked starting November 26 for $1,600.

Great to have another phone to support Graphene OS. The only other phone that supports it is the Google Pixel.
