Motorola Signature 27 has some of the best Gemini AI Pixel features

Motorola’s new Signature 27 gets a selection of Google Gemini intelligence features previously associated with Pixel phones, including the ability to create custom widgets with AI and turn voice recordings into cleaner text.

The flagship smartphone will support four Gemini-powered tools at launch: Create My Widget, Gboard Rambler, Gboard Sign-to-Text and Gemini Task Automation.

It’s a significant expansion of Google’s AI features beyond its own smartphones, giving Motorola users access to tools largely reserved for Pixel devices, with some already on select Samsung Galaxy phones.

Perhaps the most interesting addition is Create My Widget, which lets users describe what they want a home screen widget to be and Gemini builds it for them. Rather than relying on the usual selection of pre-made widgets, users can create something tailored to their needs by simply specifying the functionality they are looking for.

Google first announced the feature this year, but it’s not yet publicly available even on Pixel phones. Motorola has confirmed that it will be ready when the Signature 27 launches on November 19, which means that the company will finally bring one of Google’s more interesting AI tools to market before Google itself.

Gboard is also getting some attention, with Rambler designed to accommodate long voice dictations by removing filler words and adding formatting where needed. It’s a useful addition for anyone who prefers to speak to type, but doesn’t want to spend time correcting every sentence afterwards. Meanwhile, sign-to-text uses video to translate American Sign Language into written English, providing another way to communicate without relying on conventional typing.

The fourth feature is Gemini Task Automation, which allows the assistant to handle various activities via supported apps in the background. That could mean asking Gemini to arrange a ride through Uber or place a grocery order through DoorDash, rather than manually working through each app. The feature is not entirely exclusive to Motorola, having already reached Pixel and selected Samsung Galaxy devices, although support still depends on the app and the task.

The move is particularly interesting because the Pixel’s exclusive software features have traditionally been one of Google’s biggest selling points. Bringing more of them to Motorola gives buyers another reason to consider another Android flagship without necessarily missing out on Google’s latest AI developments.

The Motorola Signature 27 is available for pre-order in the US for $1,599, ahead of its launch on the 19th.
