The Galaxy Z Fold 8 series sales in Europe are still going strong. Samsung just shared some more information that reveals huge year-over-year gains.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 series sales in Europe have increased by almost 50% compared to last year’s model
The company claims that Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra sales are up nearly 50% year on year. Incidentally, this applies to the nine-week period after its start on August 7. That’s compared to Galaxy Z Fold 7 sales in the same period last year.
Samsung also noted that there was an increase of over 260% in searches in the major European markets in September. The biggest increase was in the week of September 6-12, with an increase of 460%.
Samsung said the following: “The incredible success shows the increased consumer interest in foldable form factors, including the new Galaxy Z Fold8. The Galaxy Z Fold8 brings a form factor designed to easily move from quick interactions on the cover screen to deeper viewing, reading and gaming on the main display.
Pre-orders also broke all kinds of records
As many of you know, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series pre-orders have also broken all possible records. The devices also did really well in the initial launch days, if you look at the first week of sales.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 in particular seems to be extremely popular. That’s Samsung’s new form factor, the wide foldable. Apple recently announced its own wide foldable: the iPhone Duo. That form factor seems to be taking over little by little.
OPPO also plans to announce a wide folding bar in the coming months, while Xiaomi has already announced one, the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The same goes for Huawei, which was first on the market with the Pura X Max.
It is worth saying that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is one of the best Samsung phones currently on the market.
