Samsung has just raised the prices of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra in the US. This is not surprising, because the same thing happened in the company’s homeland some time back, and we also saw some price cuts on Amazon. The change is now official on Samsung Mobile US.
Needless to say, the main reason for this is the so-called RAMageddon. In other words, RAM and memory prices have been running, and the trend continues. AI is the main reason why.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 prices have just gone up in the US
So, what has changed, price-wise? Well, every single Galaxy S26 series model, except for one configuration, is now $100 more expensive. The one configuration is also more expensive, but around $200. It is one of the configurations of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The Galaxy S26 now starts at $999.99 with 256GB of storage, while the 512GB storage option is priced at $1,199.99. The Galaxy S26+, on the other hand, starts at $1,199.99 with 256GB storage, while its 512GB storage option costs $1,399.99 in the US.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra comes in three storage options. The base, with 256GB of storage, now costs $1,399.99. The 512GB storage variant will set you back $1,599.99, while the 1TB model costs a whopping $1,999.99.
Various sales coming up
If you really want to get one of these devices, and you’re sad you missed out on the previous price, there’s a good chance they’ll return to that price (or lower than that) in the near future. October 6 is Amazon’s second Prime Day sale, and then there are the holiday sales available.
This price bump is not a good indicator for the upcoming Galaxy S27 series. These phones will almost certainly cost more than the Galaxy S26 series at launch. This price tag all confirms it.
