Quick summary
Honor is set to launch an Android phone in Malaysia that has an 11,000mAh battery.
That doubles the size of the battery in the latest iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Honor will soon unleash its latest flagship phone, with the rear camera the main focus for the refresh. However, before the Magic 9 Pro Max and its Arri-developed cam arrive during a launch event in China on September 28, another device from the brand will arrive with an alternative headline feature.
The Honor X9e Pro will launch next week, ahead of its even more capable stablemate. And while it will also have an impressive camera (at least on paper), it’s the 11,000mAh battery that will get the most attention.
According to Wiser. My, it will be officially announced on September 24, 2026 and will see a generational leap in battery size. The last model came with an 8,300mAh cell, but the replacement will offer one of the biggest batteries Honor has ever packed into a handset.
For context, the 11,000mAh battery has at least twice the capacity of the one in the new iPhone 18 Pro Max. And Apple claims that it can last up to 29 hours. If the optimization of the Honor phone is in place, you can therefore expect the X9e Pro to last three days between charges (with reasonable use).
In addition, Honor includes 80W SuperCharge wireless fast charging, as well as 27W reverse charging, so you can use the phone as a remote charger for another device.
There is a catch though. As things stand, it looks like the Honor X9e Pro is destined exclusively for the Malaysian market – it will launch there next Thursday. There is currently no indication that it will arrive in the UK, US or Europe either.
Still, Honor tends to test its technologies in a few devices before rolling them out to others, so perhaps we’ll see much larger battery sizes and more universally available models soon.
But we can hope.
