Those Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra launched at $1,300 for a 256GB unit – this was the same price as the S25 Ultra the previous year. The 512GB model was a bit more expensive at $1,500 (up from $1,420), but that wasn’t too bad. However, rising component costs have forced Samsung to raise prices, so now the base model costs $1,400 and the version with 512GB storage is $1,600.
But you don’t have to pay those prices – it’s the last day of Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, so you can get Samsung’s non-folding flagship at a discount of 30%. You need an active Prime subscription, but you can use the free trial. And even if you’ve already used your trial period, the $420 savings will more than pay for a year’s worth of premiums.
Of course, you can think about getting a foldable – after all, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra also has a 200MP camera, a 10MP 3x/69mm telephoto and a 50MP ultrawide. All that’s missing is the 50MP 5x/111mm periscope, but that’s the most important module.

Even the foldable Ultra has the same battery capacity at 5,000mAh. However, the S26 Ultra is the first Galaxy phone with 60W charging and gets a full charge in 43 minutes – the Z Fold8 Ultra uses the more conservative 45W standard and needs 60 minutes instead.
Of course, both phones use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset. The S26 Ultra offers a 6.9″ display with S Pen support and privacy display mode, while the Z Fold8 Ultra has a 6.5″ cover and an 8.0″ inner display.
