After today’s launch of the iPhone Duo, Apple has now released several repair guides and manuals for users and independent technicians who replace or repair individual components in the device. Here are the details.
DIY iPhone Duo repair guides now available
Earlier today, Apple published a series of support documents covering software and hardware issues that may affect the iPhone Duo, including hinge issues, Touch ID, and display troubleshooting.

Apple recommends that users and technicians read the entire repair manual before starting, and only proceed if they feel comfortable performing the repairs as directed.
There are also dedicated safety guides for broken glass and battery replacement procedures, with Apple describing the necessary precautions, tools and steps to minimize the risk of injury or damage.
It is worth noting that although Apple also offers genuine spare parts and tools through its Self Service Repair Store, parts for the iPhone Duo are not yet available.
That said, Apple’s official iPhone Duo repair manual includes procedures for replacing the following components:
The iPhone Duo repair manual page also provides detailed diagrams of the internal devices, along with lists of spare parts and required tools, and you can view it here.
