If you’re considering the iPhone Duo as your next, or even first, foldable, you can also look into Apple’s official accessories like the $79 silicone case or the $129 folio. Well, there’s something you need to know about the cheaper case, because it comes with a caveat.

According to users who have already got their hands on one of the early iPhone Duo units and have already bought the cheaper silicone case, they report that it requires the adhesive to be exposed from the inside before being installed.
According to the report, the case does not stay on the phone if you do not use the adhesive and simply falls off. This is the first time we’ve heard of glue being used to hold a case in place. Strange that Apple didn’t go with magnets instead.
Of course, this is not much for many, but others who like to change cases for different occasions or simply prefer to go without a case from time to time, will be forced to stick with the silicone case. No pun intended.
Alternatively, you can ditch the more expensive Folio case or go for a third-party one that doesn’t require glue. At least you have options.
