The ASUS ExpertBook A7 brings a CNC-forged aluminum body, a 3K OLED display, and a glass haptic touchpad to a new business laptop $1,299.99. It introduces ASUS ExpertBook A-series, joining the company’s B and P series and ExpertBook Ultra.
ASUS announced US availability beginning October 14 through the ASUS Store. Aimed at professionals, freelancers and small teams, the A7 brings its key design features to the entry-level configuration: buyers don’t need to choose the most expensive model to get the OLED screen or the haptic touchpad.
The chassis uses 6000-series aluminum, precision forged for a rigid body with a clean, minimalist appearance. The 14-inch OLED display combines a sharp 2880×1800 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate to make documents, images and scrolling clearer and smoother. The glass haptic touchpad adds another feature with which buyers interact with throughout the working day.
Hardware and memory limits
According to ASUS’ US launch announcement, the six announced configurations share the same memory and storage capacities.
| component | US Intel launched specifications |
| Processor options | Intel Core 5 320 or Core 7 350 |
| memory | 16GB onboard LPDDR5X; not upgradeable |
| storage | 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD |
| Display | 14-inch, non-touch OLED; 2880 × 1800; 120 Hz |
| Battery | 65 wh |
| Weight | 2.82 lb / about 1.28 kg |
The fix 16GB RAM ceiling fan is worth considering before buying. It may suit daily office work, but buyers who expect heavier multitasking or growing memory demands may not be able to add more RAM later.

ASUS claims up to 26 hours of battery lifebased on his laboratory tests with local Full HD video playback. That is not a measurement of mixed office work, so independent tests are needed to establish daily endurance.
Ports and connectivity
The Intel models include connections for external displays and common accessories. Both USB-C ports support charging and display output, although they use USB 3.2 Gen 2 instead of USB4.
| Port | quantity | can |
| USB-C | 2 | USB 3.2 Gen 2, charging station and display output |
| USB-A | 1 | USB 3.2 Gen 1 |
| HDMI | 1 | HDMI 2.1 TMDS |
| audio jack | 1 | Combined headphones and microphone |

US price
Higher prices bring a different processor or Windows edition while keeping the same display, memory and storage.
| Processor | Windows 11 Home | Windows 11 Pro |
| Intel Core 5 320 | $1,299.99 | $1,499.99 |
| Intel Core 7 350 | $1,399.99 | $1,599.99 |
ASUS also includes its ExpertGuardian security features, fingerprint login through the power button, and five years of BIOS and driver security updates. The company offers three years of manufacturer coverage and one year of accidental damage protection. MIL-STD-810H durability testing adds lab validation, though it doesn’t make the laptop damage-proof.
A cheaper model is coming
ASUS plans to expand the lineup January 2027with configurations ab $899. The Verge reports that ASUS has clarified the upcoming model will include 12 GB of RAMOLED, and a haptic touchpad.
ASUS also announced AMD Ryzen AI versions with USB4, but this announcement does not immediately establish US availability.
