The iPhone 18 Pro isn’t exactly a cheap phone to repair, so putting a decent screen protector and case on it is (I think), a must. I used Belkin’s Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector and Protect Series Case on my iPhone 18 Pro, two accessories designed to protect the display and body without drastically changing the way the phone looks or feels.
Belkin also has two other Titan SmartShield Pro options for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, including a Blue-to-Red Screen Protector and a Bright Privacy Screen Protector. I haven’t installed either, so I’ll cover what they offer rather than pretend I’ve had hands-on experience with them.
PACKAGING CONTENTS AND UNBOXING

The Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector (and the other two variants as well) comes with the screen protector itself, an Easy Align installation tray, dust removal stickers, cleaning cloth and alcohol wipe. Belkin includes everything needed to clean the screen and install the protector at home.
The Protect series case is of course much simpler, with the case itself being the main item in the packaging.
BELKIN TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO REVIEW – DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
I’ve installed a lot of screen protectors over the years, but I really like Belkin’s current installation system because it works differently than many of the trays I’ve used before.
After you have cleaned the iPhone display with the included accessories, you place the iPhone screen side down and the installation system and the lid close. You then pull out a tab which applies the screen protector to the screen as the tab is removed.

It sounds slightly unusual the first time you see it, but in practice it makes installation very easy. As long as you clean the screen properly and put the iPhone in the tray fairly quickly afterwards, before another piece of dust gets a chance to land on the screen, there is very little to worry about.
My installation came out really well with no trapped dust underneath. This is probably one of the better installation systems I’ve used, especially if installing screen protectors manually makes you nervous.
Belkin calls it its close-and-pull installation system and claims it’s designed to provide a precise, bubble-free and dust-free installation at home. My experience certainly fits this description.
The Titan SmartShield Pro itself is 0.33mm thick. You can definitely see the edges of the screen protector if you look closely at the iPhone, and from the side you can tell that there is an additional layer of glass on top of the display.
When actually using the phone, however, I can’t see any noticeable degradation in display quality or brightness. Everything still looks as it should on my iPhone 18 Pro, which is exactly what I want from a screen protector.
The anti-reflective model also uses an anti-fingerprint coating and the Belkin anti-reflective treatment to reduce glare while maintaining the colors of the display.
PROTECTION FOR AN EXPENSIVE DISPLAY

Screen protectors are one of those accessories that hopefully never have to prove how useful they are.
Belkin says the Titan SmartShield Pro uses what it calls Nano-Titan technology, adding a reinforced layer designed to absorb shock. The protector has been third party tested to survive impacts from heights of up to 9ft or 2.7m. Belkin also says that its internal tests showed no visible surface damage after up to 10,000 scratch cycles with a weighted steel wool applicator.
I obviously won’t intentionally drop my iPhone 18 Pro from 2.7 meters to verify this claim. However, I’ve used Belkin and other tempered glass screen protectors in the past, and I’ve cracked protectors after a drop while leaving the actual phone display intact. That’s exactly what I want the protector to do. I’d much rather replace a cracked A$49.95 screen protector than replace it with an iPhone 18 Pro display. It gives me extra peace of mind when I carry the phone around.
OTHER TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO OPTIONS

Belkin has also introduced some more specialized Titan SmartShield Pro Protectors. The Titan SmartShield Pro Blue-to-Red screen protector costs A$59.95 and is designed for the iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro Max. The protector uses quantum dot technology to convert blue light into red light, with Belkin positioning this as a way to reduce eye strain and support sleep.
It otherwise shares many of the features of the anti-reflection model, including nano-titanium impact protection, anti-reflective treatment, an anti-fingerprint coating, the close-and-pull installation system and the claimed 9ft impact protection. I haven’t installed this model, so I can’t comment on whether the blue-red technology makes a noticeable difference during extended use.
There’s also the A$59.95 Titan SmartShield Pro Bright Privacy Screen Protector for the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Privacy protectors are useful if you regularly use your phone on public transport, on flights or in other crowded environments where you don’t necessarily want the person next to you to read what’s on your screen.
One of the usual compromises with privacy screen protectors is reduced brightness. Belkin says its light transmittance technology keeps the display up to 10% brighter compared to conventional privacy screens and can improve battery life by up to 10% under controlled test conditions. The results will of course depend on the phone, settings and usage.
It also includes anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint treatments, nano-titanium protection, Face ID support and the same close-and-pull installation system. Again, I didn’t install the Bright Privacy model myself, so these brightness and battery life figures are Belkin’s laboratory claims rather than something I’ve verified.
BELKIN PROTECT SERIES CASE – DESIGN AND PROTECTION

I also used Belkin’s Protect Series Case on my iPhone 18 Pro. One of the immediate benefits is grip. The sticky iPhone can feel quite slippery in the hand, while the case gives me more confidence when I pick it up and carry it around. Belkin uses textured edges specifically to provide a more slip-resistant grip, and there’s also protection around the physical controls.
The downside is that adding a protective case changes how the phone feels. The Protect Series Case adds a bit of weight compared to the iPhone sticky, and the covered buttons feel slightly stiffer to press. Belkin describes the case as thin and light, and compared to heavy rugged cases it’s certainly not overly bulky, but you’ll still notice that there’s now a case around your phone.

The raised edges also protect the entire iPhone. Around the back, the camera lenses do not directly contact a flat surface when the phone is put down. Flip the phone over and the raised front edge similarly holds the screen slightly above the surface.
Belkin says the Protect Series Case has been independently tested to MIL-STD-810G standards to survive drops from heights of up to 13ft or 4 meters. It also uses Belkin’s Nano-Titan technology, which the company says absorbs shock, reduces overheating and helps prevent discoloration.
The Protect Series Case supports both MagSafe and Qi2 charging. That means if you recently bought a new Qi2 charging stand or dock, you won’t have to use the case every time you want to charge the iPhone wirelessly. Belkin also says the Protect Series Case is manufactured with a minimum of 92% recycled plastic.
BELKIN TITAN SMARTSHIELD PRO AN PROTECT SERIES CASE
The Belkin Titan SmartShield Pro Anti-Reflective Screen Protector and Protect Series Case make a good combination to protect the iPhone 18 Pro without going overboard.
I’m especially happy with the screen saver installation system. The close-and-pull mechanism takes a lot of the anxiety out of setting up and manually applying a protector, and my installation came out clean with no trapped dust. Once installed, I didn’t notice any deterioration in display quality or brightness during normal use.
At A$49.95, it’s certainly more expensive than the generic tempered glass screen protectors you’ll find online, but you’re also paying for the installation system, Belkin’s anti-reflective coating and its tested impact protection. The A$59.95 Protect Series Case adds useful grip and protection around the screen and cameras while maintaining MagSafe and Qi2 compatibility. The compromises are predictable: the phone becomes a bit heavier and the covered buttons are not as easy to press as they are without a case.
The Blue-to-Red and Bright Privacy Titan SmartShield Pro models are more specialized alternatives at A$59.95 each. I haven’t personally tested the two, but the Blue-to-Red model is aimed at users concerned about blue-light exposure (or those who are almost always on the screen), while the Bright Privacy version probably makes more sense for people who regularly use their phones around others.
