Controlled, modified, deleted: The “VisionQuest” collection gave us a new perspective on vision

Yesterday we had the chance to visit Marvel’s Controlled, Altered, Deleted: The VisionQuest Collection activation at Studio 525 during New York Comic Con 2026. We weren’t quite sure what to expect; the description was suitably mysterious, promising we would be “immersed in the vision’s history and discover what has been changed, what has been lost, and what remains as a machine searches for its humanity.”

What we discovered was an immersive multimedia experience full of representations of Vision as the subject of several famous works of art, including Edward Hopper’s “Nighthawks” and Grant Wood’s “American Gothic.” We’ll leave it up to you to interpret what all of this could mean for Vision’s past, present and future ahead of his upcoming TV series VisionQuest. Check out the pictures and videos we captured below.

VisionQuest Premieres October 14 on Disney+.
