Motorola’s wide foldable is coming, and we’ve already shared a lot of information about it. A while back we shared sketches of its possible design, and earlier today the specifications of the device were shared.

We still don’t have official renderings or images, but to give you a better idea of what’s to come, and have fun along the way, we’ve created some concept images, aka mockups, to share with you.
It is very important to note that these are not official images and are not based on official designs. What we base them on are the above sketches, specifications and even the actual design language that Motorola offers about the Razr Fold and Signature 27 phones.
Although this does not represent the final design of the device, it should be included. You can check out the mockups we have mentioned throughout the article.
We know the exact dimensions of the phone, which helped to accurately represent the size
It is worth noting that thanks to the specifications we have received, we know exactly what the dimensions of the phone will be. It will measure 110 x 149 x 5.8 mm when open, and 110 x 76 x 12.6 mm when closed.
This basically shows that Motorola’s wide foldable will be notably shorter and narrower than the Galaxy Z Fold 8. So if you’ve handled Samsung’s first wide foldable and still think it’s too tall and/or wide, you might be interested in what Motorola has to offer. Motorola’s phone will also notably have more rounded corners compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
However, it will be significantly thicker than the wide foldable Samsung at 12.6 mm when folded. That will be a difference you notice, because it’s not exactly small. We are looking at a 2.9mm difference in thickness here.
Its display will be smaller than the one on the Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the whole phone will be too
The inner display, despite being reduced in size, will still be a good size when unfolded. It will measure 6.92 inches, which is smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s 7.6 inches. The cover display will measure 4.97 inches, so it will be relatively compact.
The colors of these mockups are also based on the information we received. We know that the phone will come in PANTONE Coriander and PANTONE Dark Botanical Garden colors.
In simple words, these are basically a beige color and a dark green color. The green one in particular managed to catch our attention because it looks good in these concept images.
There is a horizontal camera bar on the back
The phone will have a horizontal camera bar on the back, with two cameras inside. The camera bar protrudes from the back. The buttons are placed on the right side of the phone and sit quite high up, which is not surprising considering the size of the device.
Now there is a display camera hole centered on the cover display. The wheels around the device are actually expected to be uniform. That part is slightly misrepresented in the pictures provided, so keep that in mind.
There is also a display camera hole on the main panel, in the upper right corner. The wheels around that display will also be uniform.
The phone is expected to arrive at the end of the year
Currently, the launch target for the device is mid-December. This could change, however, as it is not yet set in stone.
