The exact thickness and weight of the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra have just been revealed. The information comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster.

The device will be 7.9 mm thick (without camera bump), and it will weigh 218 grams. So it will have the same thickness as the Galaxy S26 Ultra, while it will be a bit heavier in comparison. That’s not a difference you’ll feel though, because it’s a 4 gram difference.
As a reminder, we revealed the design of the Galaxy S27 Ultra a while back. It is based on CAD rendering. Note that the setup in the camera bar has changed ever so slightly though.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra will have a new camera bar on the back, but other than that it won’t be that much different from its predecessor. The Galaxy S27 Pro will have the same camera bar, while the Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ will basically look the same as their predecessors.
Major image processing improvements are also coming
The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is also said to receive major improvements to software processing. The same tipster detailed these changes the other day, while also talking about the main and periscope telephoto cameras.
The device will get a 200MP main camera, a new one, while it drops the 3x telephoto camera. As for the telephoto cameras, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto unit with 5x optical zoom is included.
The most powerful chip from Qualcomm will fuel the device
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is expected to power the Galaxy S27 Ultra, Qualcomm’s new flagship chip. The phone also ships with Android 17, while One UI 9 comes pre-installed on top of it.
All four Galaxy S27 series phones are expected to arrive in Q1 next year. They will probably drop in January or February.
