I went hunting for early Prime Day deals. These 10 made the cut

Amazon’s October shopping event, officially called Prime Big Deal Days, runs on October 6 and 7, but the discounts have already started. Amazon itself says that early deals are available before the 48-hour sale, so I dug through the current deals and found 10 pieces of technology that I would consider buying before the main event begins.

There’s a little bit of everything here, including an Apple Watch, speakers, chargers, a 65-inch mini-LED TV, smart-home hardware, and a robot vacuum. Keep in mind that Amazon deals can move quickly, so give the final number another look before checking out.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 – $699.97 (13% off)

Last year we rated the Apple Watch Ultra 3 as the best Apple Watch ever. Now it’s available for a sweet discount on Amazon. The 49mm Black Titanium Apple Watch Ultra 3 with the Black Titanium Milanese Loop in Large normally costs $899, but Amazon has slashed that to $699.97 after the arrival of the Ultra 4.

You still get up to 42 hours of battery life, 5G cellular connectivity, built-in satellite communications, excellent GPS features, and the large, bright display that makes the Ultra line so great for workouts and outdoor use. If you want an Ultra anyway and don’t need the newest model simply because it’s newest, saving nearly $200 on the Titan Milanese version is a pretty compelling argument.

Ring Battery Doorbell 4K Pro – $149.99 (40% Off)

A video doorbell is the kind of smart-home upgrade that becomes hard to pass up once you have one, and Ring’s Battery Doorbell 4K Pro sits near the top of its range. Amazon has it at $149.99 instead of $249.99, which is a much friendlier entry for a doorbell that packs retinal 4K video, up to 10x enhanced zoom, 3D motion detection, and night vision.

I also love that you don’t have to remodel your front door. The Quick Release Ultra Battery Pack can be easily removed and charged when needed, making this particularly useful for renters or homes without existing doorbell wiring. Ring’s ecosystem is another bonus if you already own some of its cameras or an alarm system, but $100 off gives newcomers a pretty good reason to start here, too.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless — $229.95 (23% Off)

The Momentum 4 Wireless has been around since 2022, but that lifespan actually works in its favor during sales like this one. Amazon has the white version at $229.95, which puts a true premium pair of wireless headphones much closer to midrange territory. Sennheiser’s sound quality remains the big attraction, supported by 42mm drivers, aptX Adaptive Support, and adaptive ANC for flights, commutes or a noisy office.

The feature I keep coming back to is the battery: up to 60 hours of playback means you can go days between charges, even with heavy use. If sound quality and endurance are more important to you than owning the latest pair of headphones released this year, the Momentum 4 remains remarkably easy to recommend.

Hisense 65-inch E7 Cinema Series – $597.99 (40% Off)

TV deals around Prime Day can get confusing because a big percentage discount doesn’t always mean you’re getting a lot of TV for the money. The 65-inch Hisense E7 Cinema Series at $597.99 is different. Its regular price is $999.99, and the hardware under that discount is surprisingly solid for a TV that sits comfortably under $600.

You get a Hi-QLED mini-LED panel with full array local dimming, a native 144Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision IQ, HDR10+ Adaptive, and Fire TV built in. The 144Hz panel also gives gamers much more headroom than the usual 60Hz budget TV, especially if you have a PS5, Xbox series attached.

Anker Prime 3-in-1 charger – $149 (35% off)

I’ve seen plenty of three-in-one chargers that do the basic job of charging an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods overnight. Anker’s Prime Charger takes that idea and goes slightly overboard with it, which is exactly why I love it. The white model is down to $149.99 from $229.99.

The headline feature is up to 25W Qi2.2 wireless charging for compatible iPhones, but Anker also uses active TEC cooling to keep temperatures under control when pushing those faster speeds. There’s even a 1.65-inch display that shows charging power, temperature and status, while Boost, Ice and Sleep modes give you some control over how aggressively it runs. Beats Pill – $99.95 (33% off)

The revived Beats Pill launched at $149.95, and I’ve always thought that around $100 is where this speaker becomes particularly easy to recommend. Amazon brought it back down to $99.95, which gives you a compact Bluetooth speaker that’s easy to throw into a backpack without giving up the features I use for travel or outdoors.

Battery life extends to 24 hours, while IP67 dust and water resistance means a pool splash or a day at the beach isn’t something you need to put it through. USB-C can handle lossless audio when connected to a compatible device, and the pill can even use its own battery to charge your phone in a pinch. It also works well across Apple and Android, making this much less of an Apple-only accessory than the Beats badge might suggest.

UGREEN MagFlow Air 10,000mAh Qi2 15W Wireless Power Bank – $54.99 (31% Off)

A 10,000mAh power bank is useful. A 10,000mAh power bank that magnetically sticks to your phone and already has the cable you need plugged in is even better. UGREEN’s MagFlow Air is down from $79.99 to $54.99, and it solves many of the minor annoyances that usually come with carrying a battery pack.

It supports 15W Qi2 magnetic charging if you want the convenience of simply clipping it to the back of your phone, along with up to 30W wireless charging if speed is more important. The built-in USB-C cable doubles as a carrying strap, so it’s one less loose accessory to lose at the bottom of your bag. At 10,000mAh, there’s also enough capacity here to make it useful for a full day out rather than just serving as an emergency top-up.

iRobot Roomba 115X Combo with AutoEmpty Dock – $199.99 (57% Off)

Robot vacuum cleaners have gotten considerably cheaper in recent years, but $199.99 for a Roomba that also includes an AutoEmpty dock still stands out. This bundle is normally listed for $469.99, so Amazon is taking a massive $270 discount, making it one of the biggest direct discounts in this entire roundup.

The 115X can vacuum and mop in the same cleaning routine, while ClearView LiDAR helps it map rooms and navigate more systematically than older bump-and-turn robots. Suction reaches up to 15,000 Pa, and when cleaning is complete, the dock can empty trash into its own bag for up to three months of hands-off disposal. This combination is what sells the deal for me.

Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4 – $59.99 (40% Off)

There are Bluetooth speakers with more power and much larger batteries, but the WONDERBOOM 4 at $59.99 nails the inexpensive, take-it-ywhere side of the category. This is almost half of its $99.99 list price and only a few dollars above the lowest price we saw on June Prime Day.

Its small size is a big part of the attraction. You still get up to 14 hours of battery life, 360-degree audio, IP67 protection, and a design that actually floats if it ends up in a pool. Outdoor Boost tweaks the presentation when listening outside, while Podcast mode shifts the emphasis to voices. For vacations, showers, pool days, or simply carrying music from room to room, this is exactly the kind of speaker I’d rather buy for around $60 than think about.

Anker Prime 14-in-1 Docking Station – $169.99 (37% Off)

A docking station probably won’t be the most glamorous thing you buy during Prime Day, but it can completely change how pleasant a laptop is to use on your desk. Anker’s Prime 14-in-1 dock is down from $269.99 to $169.99, and it gives you enough connectivity to turn a thin laptop with a few USB-C ports into the center of a serious desktop setup.

There are 14 ports in total, including 10Gbps data connections, dual HDMI outputs, Gigabit Ethernet, a card reader, and enough charging hardware to deliver up to 160W across connected devices. The built-in display is pretty neat as it can show charging and connection information without having to dig through software. Display capabilities depend on your laptop, and MacOS users should check dual-monitor limitations before buying, but for a Windows laptop desktop with peripherals, saving $100 makes it a practical purchase.
