iQOO Neo 12 launch date and design

The iQOO Neo 12 will launch in China on October 28 at 19:00 local time, with sales scheduled to begin shortly after the announcement.

One of the featured finishes is called Zhengfeng, with a dynamic rear panel texture that creates a flowing light effect depending on the viewing angle. iQOO has also collaborated with the China Academy of Art on a new color option.

The smartphone has a square rear camera module and a metal frame, which gives it a striking design. The company is positioning the Neo 12 as a performance-oriented device for mobile gamers.

iQOO Neo 12 specifications and features (expected)

The iQOO Neo 12 is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with iQOO’s dedicated Q3 gaming chip and an upgraded Monster Super Core Engine. Its Ice Dome cooling system includes an active cooling fan to manage temperatures during intense gaming sessions.

The smartphone will debut a 2K display with a 185Hz refresh rate, using pTSF light-emitting technology. The panel is rated for up to 2,200 nits of full-screen peak brightness and includes XDR dynamic range enhancement, circular polarization technology, and a 1-nit sleep screen. The power of the device is a 9,000mAh Blue Ocean battery with fifth-generation silicon-anode technology and a single-cell design. With an energy density of 916Wh / L, the battery supports 100W wireless charging.

For gaming, iQOO claims that the Neo can run 12 supported titles with 2K resolution and 185 frames per second (fps), superior resolution combined with frame interpolation. The device is also expected to support more than 50 native 185fps games, full-scene ray tracing, and Q-Flex controls.
