Lance Bass, who shares twins Alexander James in the Violet Betty with husband Michael Turchin, is just like us!

The singer admits that it is difficult to please his children, who will be 5 years old in October.

“The opinions! They have very strong opinions about everything, and their logic is absolutely insane. That and the curse words they learn in school!” Bass exclusively narrated OK! while talking about the launch of the new RetailMeNot Rewards app. “I’m the fun parent think he is strict. I start with ‘absolutely not’, and five minutes later we’re negotiating.

The boyband member says becoming a father has “completely” changed his priorities, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. “My time is different now. Work, travel, what I say yes – you start thinking about what works for the family first,” he dished. “There’s no unloading. Even when they’re sleeping, you’re still thinking about them. Parenting is basically a 24/7 group project. How can you love two little humans more than anything in the world while also desperately wanting them to just put their shoes on!”

However, he lives for the precious moments.

“When they repeat something, Michael or I say. Nothing makes you realize how ridiculous you sound faster than hearing it from your child,” he shares about what makes him and his hubby laugh.

“Every year I have say I go shopping early, and every year I still order three days before Christmas. But I’m getting better!” he says. “Christmas basically starts now on September 1st. And with kids you have to start early because somehow the only thing they want is to always be sold out.

To make the holiday shopping experience easier, the *NSYNC star makes lists in his phone “all year round” so he’s easily prepared. “If Michael or the kids mention something they like, I try to write it down right away. Otherwise, December comes, and I don’t remember anything,” he jokes, noting that he is a deal hunter. “If I even buy it, give me the promo code, the money back, everything. I really like the deals after Christmas. The problem is that I’m already giving the gift when Christmas is over.”

Bass has trouble finding something for his whole family because his children’s interests change “every five minutes.”

“That’s the problem. You think you’ve got the perfect gift two weeks later. One day it’s unicorns and sharks, the next Hot Wheels and dinosaurs,” he says.

Still, he loves to “give gifts, cook and decorate” with his loved ones.

“Christmas with kids makes everything magical again. The classic music, decorations, family and that magical Christmas morning to see if Mrs. Claws left you anything (if you know, you know) – those are the memories I want them to have,” he shares.
