Motorola expands its budget lineup by launching the new Moto G47 Power in Europe. True to its ‘Power’ branding, the phone has a massive 7,000mAh battery. In terms of design, it’s pretty much identical to most Motorola phones in this price segment, with a square camera island on the back and thick bezels around the screen. Thanks to its hefty battery, the phone is slightly on the heavier side, weighing 215 grams.
Motorola launches Moto G47 Power with MIL-STD-810H certification and Android 16
The large 7,000mAh battery gets support for 30W fast charging by wire and there is 6W wired reverse charging. You can use this to charge other devices. The company claims that the battery can last up to 78 hours on a single charge. It sports a 6.67-inch LCD display with 720 X 1604 pixel resolution, 1,050-nit brightness in high-brightness mode, and a 120Hz refresh rate. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on top and water-touch technology.
The Motorola Moto G47 Power is powered by the MediaTek 6300 chip, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are no other memory options, but you get a microSD card slot for memory expansion. In terms of durability, the phone gets IP64 dust and splash resistance as well as MIL-STD-810H certification.
108MP camera, 30W fast charging, and IP64 rating
In terms of photography, the Moto G47 Power has a 108MP main camera and a 2MP macro unit. For selfies, there is an 8MP shooter on the front. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. It also has a 3.5 mm audio jack and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security purposes.
The phone runs on Android 16 OS out of the box. It would have been better if the company launched it with Android 17, since it has been available for a long time. There is, however, Gemini support. The Moto G47 Power comes in Pantone Capri, Pantone Nautical Blue, and Pantone Impenetrable colors. It will cost €339 (~$338) in the EU and £299 (~$398) in the UK.
