Pimax has unveiled the Crystal Proa wireless PC VR headset built around a new streaming system it calls Native foveated streaming. It costs $1,399or $1,899 bundled with the new third generation 60G Airlink Kit, and shipping is set to begin Spring 2027. Pimax also showed Ringless VR controllers and a compact gaming PC called Space.
Native foveated streaming over 60GHz

The Crystal Pro streams over Wi-Fi out of the box, with a built-in Wi-Fi chip and a Wi-Fi 6E USB dongle in the box. The upgrade is optional 60G Airlink kit. Using eye tracking, its 60GHz link sends the native image from the GPU directly to the area you’re looking at, without the compression Wi-Fi streaming needs.
The kit’s two room antennas run in one 2×2 MIMO Setup, which Pimax calls a first for VR headsets, for up to 6 Gbps of combined throughput and under 2 ms of additional latency. If your body blocks one signal path, the other takes over, and Wi-Fi acts as a fallback when 60G drops. Pimax says that a well-equipped system can cover a 5 x 5 meter play area. You can also play via DisplayPort cable.
Display, tracking and convenience

Using the headset QLED panels at 2880 x 2880 per eye behind aspheric glass lenses, with a 110-degree field of view and until 120 Hz. Tracking combines eye tracking with SLAM 2.0 inside-out tracking, and an exchangeable faceplate adds lighthouse support or an MR cover with LiDAR and full-color passthrough. Pimax says this makes it the only wireless headphone with Lighthouse support.
There is no built-in battery. Power comes from a included 16,000mAh external pack. Pimax also lists three microphones, three customizable buttons, a hard back strap, a magnetic face mask, eye-relief adjustment, active cooling and optional prescription lenses. Without a PC, it can run Android and OpenXR mobile apps.
Ringless Controller and Space Mini PC

The Crystal Pro ships with two ringed controllers. The new one Ringless VR controller Drop the tracking ring and use camera-based hand tracking plus infrared and motion sensors, with under 15ms latency, and clip into a gamepad for Windows and Steam. Space pair an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with an AMD RX 9070 XT or Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti in a chassis smaller than a typical tower, running Windows or SteamOS. Neither has a price or date yet.

You can reserve the Crystal Pro for $1 at Pimax and get $20 off the headset at launch, or $50 off the 60G Airlink bundle. The kit alone costs $599. Hands-on demos will start in Q4 2026.
