Redmi K100 is set to launch in China later this month as the latest addition to the Xiaomi K-series smartphone lineup. The company has confirmed the launch date and revealed the phone’s design, color options, and key display features ahead of its debut.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to focus on gaming performance, with a high-refresh rate display, a Snapdragon chipset, and an active cooling fan.

Redmi K100 launch date and design

Redmi has confirmed that the Redmi K100 will launch in China on October 27 at 7 PM local time (4:30 PM IST). It will join the recently launched Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max models in the lineup.

The company showed the smartphone with a flat rear panel, a metal mid-frame and a horizontal camera module. The rear camera island has two cameras and an LED flash, while the “Sound by Bose” branding suggests that the phone has a Bose-tuned speaker setup.

The power button is positioned on the right side, while the Redmi branding appears towards the bottom of the rear panel. The handset is also expected to have a USB Type-C port and a SIM tray along the bottom edge.

Redmi has revealed a Fluorescent Green color option for the phone, which is available via Xiaomi’s online store in China.

Redmi K100 Specifications and Features (Expected)

The Redmi K100 will have a 6.83-inch flat display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It has a hole-punch cutout at the top for the front camera. According to Redmi, the smartphone will natively support 165fps gaming in more than 40 games, making its display a key highlight for mobile gamers.

The phone runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4, based on Android 17, according to the company.

Under the hood, the Redmi K100 is tipped to have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It could be paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The handset is also expected to feature an improved built-in active cooling fan to manage temperatures during extended gaming sessions.

In terms of pricing, a recent report suggests that the Redmi K100 will start at around CNY 3,500 (roughly Rs. 50,000) in China. However, the company has yet to confirm the price, memory configurations or availability details. The Redmi K100 is expected to rival the iQOO Neo 12, which will arrive a day after.
