Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 7 is 36% off, and still plenty capable

You don’t need the latest smartwatch to get a good one. Amazon has the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 for $159, down from $249.99. That’s 36% off, or about $91 saved.

The Watch 7 was launched in 2024, so it is a few models behind. Samsung’s newer Galaxy Watch 9 went on sale in August for $379.99, which means the Watch 7 costs $220 less. For most people, this gap buys a lot of watches that do the same daily job.

Age has not made it slow or limited. It still tracks your workouts and sleep, monitors your heart rate and displays texts and calls from your phone. It also runs Google Wear OS software, so you can add apps from the Play Store.

Samsung didn’t forget it either. The company has started testing its latest monitoring software on the Watch 7, although this test version has only reached South Korea so far. That’s a good sign that the watch will continue to receive updates.

One thing to know before you buy: the Watch 7 only works with Android phones, so iPhone owners can skip this one.

At $159, it’s a lot of smartwatch for the money. Get the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 on Amazon before the price changes.
