Quick summary
Holafly has expanded its range of options with a new Ultra plan, designed for very frequent travelers.
The plan includes unlimited data roaming in 160 countries, medical assistance with doctors on call and automatic claims for flight delays and lost luggage.
Frequent travelers have a lot to juggle. Between staying connected, there is travel disruption, medical coverage and lost luggage to contend with. To make life easier for those who are always on the go, Holafly has expanded its offer with Holafly Ultra.
You know the Holafly name because it is one of the dominant providers of eSIMs for global roaming. Supporting 160 countries, it’s an easy way to stay connected, with Holafly selling data plans for travelers and recently introducing ongoing global data through its existing Light and Unlimited plans.
Expanding its offering, Holafly Ultra has unlimited data worldwide, while bundling additional travel essentials, including flight and baggage assistance, and medical support.
Although this is not full medical travel insurance, it does mean that there is access to help, so you can get medical help 24/7, talk to a real person. This includes access to a doctor, as well as mental health support, with the service of Meeting Doctors.
There’s even help for any pets you’re traveling with.
On the travel page, Holafly says it handles claims for delayed flights and lost, delayed or damaged baggage. That should mean you can leave Holafly to take care of the logistics while you focus on the work or play you need to do.
Dive into the fine print Holafly details that up to €600 can be claimed for eligible delayed flights, while up to €1900 is available for lost or damaged luggage. Holafly notes that this is handled by AirHelp.
While this does not replace full insurance policies for medical and travel emergencies, it does mean that there is assistance at hand for many of the regular occurrences, especially for those who are on the go a lot.
Priced at £72.35 a month, there is the option to cancel this renewal at any time, while the regular Unlimited plan costs £50.95 a month, so you can see what these extras will cost you.
This is really aimed at those who are away a lot of the time: this is not for the occasional traveller, it is for people who find that travel costs and time can be managed with delay, sorting out connectivity and getting medical help.
The new Holafly Ultra plan is now available from Holafly.
