Oppo flagships have never been cheap, but the latest generation may be too expensive to achieve the popularity it deserves, given the excellent hardware of the phones themselves. The Oppo Find X models are not alone in this – memory prices increasing by hundreds of percent in a few months made this result inevitable.
Those Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is the clear winner of the two – that’s usually how it goes when you compare very expensive flagships. The people who think they are too expensive have already voted “no thanks”, which leaves the money-is-no-object people who just want the best.
Oppo Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max
The Find X10 Pro Max may just prove to be the best flagship of 2026. If Oppo had called it an “Ultra”, we wouldn’t have argued much against it. But there is an ultra coming and about 10% of voters want to wait for it. Twice as many voters look at flagships from other brands.
The Pro Max certainly has its fans, but judging by the results of the polls, only about a quarter of those fans are actually willing to buy a unit at its starting price. More may join if and when Oppo is able to lower the price.

Those Oppo Find X10 didn’t do so well – it’s cheaper but not cheap enough to win over a lot of people. This survey shows a stronger interest in other flagships than the other survey, both towards the Pro Max and towards flagships from other brands.
About one in five fans are willing to pay the current price of the X10 – as we noted in last week’s survey, you may be able to find a Find X9 Ultra for the same price or close to it. This undercuts the vanilla X10 because it doesn’t have the latest hardware (eg Dimensity 9600M is really a 9500-class chip), so the X9 Ultra doesn’t feel as old in comparison (it has a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset).

We’d love to tell you that discounts are coming, but SK hynix, the world’s third-largest DRAM maker, has warned that the memory shortage will last until 2030. So, there are some discounts after all, but they may be smaller than what we are used to.
