Six Awesome Android Games to Play This Halloween!

One of the best reasons to own an Android phone is that you always have access to entertainment on the go such as music, movies and such – and of course, a large part of this includes video games. With Halloween fast approaching, you might be in the mood for some on-the-go gaming, and what better way to celebrate the spooky season than slaying demons, ghosts and other various creatures of the night on your smartphone screen.

With that in mind, we’ve listed a handful of games you’ll want to check out—so turn down the lights, pump up the volume, and get ready for some scary-good action right in the palm of your hand.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Konami’s Castlevania series is credited with keeping the mystery and terror of Dracula’s legacy alive and well (or undead and well) for modern audiences, and one of the best games in the franchise – Symphony of the Night – is available for mobile players.

First launched on the Sony PlayStation, SOTN features role-playing elements such as a leveling system, customizable equipment, and some meaty in-game exploration, asking you to spend a lot of time going back and forth through a massive in-game world. You play as Alucard, who is tasked with taking down his father Dracula in his vast, sprawling castle. SOTN also supports touch controls and external controllers, so you can easily pair a wireless controller with your smartphone and start with any action.

Grimvalor

Next up is Grimvalor, an award-winning game from Direlight Studios. Originally designed for mobile platforms and later ported to the Nintendo Switch, Grimvalor is a hack and slash title that pits you – a warrior equipped with axes, swords and magical items – against hordes of brooding monsters that have no earthly business on the screen of your smartphone. Grimvalor takes some Exploration and progression elements from popular franchises like Castlevania, and combines them with smooth combat controls, great looking graphics and voice acting.

In case you’re not too keen on using touchscreen controls, Grimvalor is also compatible with third-party controllers, giving you a much better handle on all the action.

In the dead 2

Into the Dead 2 takes what made its predecessor fun and adds a little more, providing players with an adrenaline-fueled first-person action experience. You will make your way through hordes of the undead, with a variety of different weapons at your disposal. Into the Dead 2 also includes five additional story events that take place throughout different environments, giving a ton more variety compared to the first installment.

With that said, the game is free although there are optional in-app purchases for additional items and such.

The Walking Dead (Telltale Games)

Telltale’s Walking Dead adaptation has long been hailed by fans as one of the best spin-offs of the Walking Dead franchise, and by gamers as one of the most unique gaming experiences ever to hit the scene. With that said, if you want to try a game that is more into story telling, decision making and an overall exciting and dramatic atmosphere, then this should be just the one for you.

Cut to a long episodic format, TWD follows Lee and Clementine as they make their way through a world infested with flesh-eating zombies, and even revisits some familiar scenes from the massive TV adaptation of the series. Players must hone their decision-making skills to make it through the unforgettable, in-game world.

Death trigger

Next we have what is probably one of the most popular breakout FPS games for mobile devices back in the day, and as such can be considered one of the classics. Dead Trigger has been on the Play Store for about a decade now, and for good reason. Originally published by Mad Finger Games (and now under Deca Games), Dead Trigger is a free first-person shooter (FPS) game where you take on hordes of the undead as you run around and try your best to survive.

It is also quite light (it can even run on budget phones), and the visuals are decent, even for 2026. The game also has tons of missions and unlockable items, although there is also an option to pay for special power-ups.

Alien: Blackout

Next up is Alien Blackout, which takes a familiar game concept and puts a nice little scream-filled twist on it. Similar to other titles like “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, Alien Blackout does surveillance camera surveillance to make sure your character escapes alive and unscathed while being chased by the ever terrifying Xenomorph.

You have to time your moves correctly and keep things in order to stay alive. -to make things even more challenging, you may not save between levels or restart them, so every move counts.
