Motorola has built some of my favorite foldable and flagship phones. I had a great time with both the Razr Fold and last year’s Signature. So when the company started placing the Signature 27, I couldn’t help but be excited. The new model comes with Qualcomm’s blazing-fast Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, and better yet, it’s finally getting a true global release.
One of the reasons I was obsessed with the last gen Signature was its amazing price tag. But it seems that budget flagship dream is officially dead. Portuguese retailer MegaPC has prematurely listed a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage Signature 27 in Pantone Coal Smoke for €1,594.90 (about $1,775).
This is a massive leap
For context, the original Signature debuted for a little more than $600 in certain regions, while it was released in the EU for €999, which is a little more than $1,100 for the same 12GB/512GB configuration. If the dealer listing is broadly representative of Motorola’s intended pricing, we’re looking at a 60% increase.
The Signature 27 certainly brings major upgrades. Motorola gave it Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a wild 200MP periscope camera, Bang & Olufsen-tuned audio, and seven years of software support.

The other Motorola leak is more encouraging
The same retailer also listed the unannounced Razr Flex 27, reportedly with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, for €1,510.90 (about $1,680) in Pantone Coriander and Dark Botanical Garden. To remember, this is the new wide foldable, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and the iPhone Duo.
Motorola’s existing Razr Fold launched in Europe at €1,999.99 and costs $1,899.99 in the US, so the Flex could occupy a cheaper tier if the list proves correct. Keep in mind that these are not official prices and may very well be placeholders that do not represent the official prices. But now and then such listings reveal a bit more about the potential price range.
