Camouflage usually helps to blend things in. Casio uses it to hide a logo. The G-SHOCK DW-6900CMG-3 incorporates the brand’s iconic G-mark into a green camouflage pattern across its resin bezel and band, giving the familiar 6900 silhouette a detail you might miss at first glance. Gold-colored accents make the rest of the watch significantly less shy.

At $145, the DW-6900CMG-3 costs $135 less than the metal-bezel GM-6900CMG-3, which Casio lists at $280. The difference is simple: the DW keeps the camouflage on resin, while the pricier GM adds a gold-colored stainless steel bezel.

Camouflage with a hidden G-SHOCK logo
The DW-6900CMG-3 incorporates Casio’s G-mark and camouflage pattern, allowing the familiar symbol to blend into the irregular shapes. Instead of placing an oversized brand over the band, the design makes the logo part of the camouflage itself.
The pattern is applied to the resin bezel and band with MAP printing, combining green and darker tones. Gold-colored details around the dial add contrast, while the three circular indicators above the main digital display maintain the recognizable 6900-series arrangement.
The camouflage-and-gold combination gives the watch a more striking appearance than conventional black G-SHOCK models. It is intended for buyers who enjoy bold accessories rather than those looking for a discreet watch that blends into formal wear.
Casio also offers the related GM-6900CMG-3, which has a gold-colored stainless steel bezel. The DW-6900CMG-3 retains a resin exterior, offering a less expensive way to get the collection’s camouflage styling.
The Classic 6900 Design With Resin Construction
The DW-6900CMG-3 measures 53.2 × 50 × 18.7 mm in length, width and height respectively, and weighs approximately 67 grams. Its case, bezel and band use resin, while mineral glass protects the digital display.
At nearly 19mm thick, this is no slim watch. The case has a substantial profile, and its dimensions are worth considering for buyers who are used to smaller digital models. Resin helps keep the weight relatively low despite the size of the watch.

The compatible wrist size is 145 to 205 mm.
The 6900 series dates back to 1995 and remains recognizable by its rounded case, three circular indicators and prominent front button. These features appeared in many versions, allowing Casio to introduce different finishes without changing the established design.
Shock resistance and 200 meters water resistance
The DW-6900CMG-3 retains G-SHOCK’s shock-resistant construction and a rated water resistance of 200 meters. These features make it suitable for a variety of everyday and recreational activities.

The water resistance rating supports swimming and other suitable water-based activities when the watch is used according to Casio’s instructions. Its resin strap also requires less care around moisture than a conventional leather strap.
Stopwatch, countdown timer and flash alerts
The DW-6900CMG-3 includes the digital timing functions associated with the 6900 series. Its stopwatch measures elapsed time, split times, and first- and second-place finishes, with 1/100-second resolution during the first hour.

The countdown timer supports settings from one second to 24 hours and includes automatic repetition. A multifunction alarm and hourly time signal provide reminders, while a flash alarm activates alongside selected audible notifications.
The white LED Super Illuminator backlight includes an afterglow function to control the screen in dark conditions. The watch also offers a fully automatic calendar until 2099 and selectable 12- or 24-hour time formats.
Casio specifies an accuracy of approximately ±15 seconds per month. The power comes from a CR2016 battery, with an estimated operating life of five years under the manufacturer’s conditions.

Casio’s listed specifications focus on conventional digital timekeeping and do not list Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, fitness tracking or smartphone notifications. That makes the watch a fit for buyers who prefer a battery-powered model without associated features or frequent charging.
Who should buy the G-SHOCK DW-6900CMG-3?

Choose the DW-6900CMG-3 if you want the camo-gold look without the metal bezel. It weighs 67 grams, although its 53.2 × 50 mm case still takes up space on the wrist. Choose the GM-6900CMG-3 if a gold-colored steel bezel is the point; otherwise, the DW gives you the same issue for $135 less.
