Character-themed watches often rely on colorful bands, special graphics and collectible packaging. While these details appeal to fans, they rarely change how the watch is used. Casio’s BABY-G collaboration with POP MART takes a different approach by giving the owner two ways to wear the same watch.

Baby Molly’s personality appears throughout the design
Casio draws inspiration from Baby Molly, the youngest version of POP MART’s MOLLY character, known for her yellow hair and big blue eyes.
The watch features a yellow resin bezel inspired by Baby Molly’s hair color, paired with a white band decorated with Baby Molly illustrations. Pressing the light button shows two blue eyes on the digital screen, creating a playful reference to her face.
The strip shows Baby Molly going to kindergarten with her companion, Baby Tabby. Removing it shows a graphic similar to her kindergarten name tag, another detail that can appeal to collectors.
Casio will also engrave the MOLLY 20th anniversary logo on the case back to commemorate the character’s anniversary in 2026.
Rather than limiting the collaboration to printed artwork, Casio incorporates Baby Molly into the watch’s physical design and display lighting.
A removable case transforms the watch into a pocket charm
The BGD-10KPM-7 uses the convertible design introduced with the Casio BGD-10K series.
Owners can remove the bezel and pass-through band without tools, then place the center case into the included pink holder. The holder has its own strap to attach the watch to a handbag, backpack or belt loop.

The digital display remains functional in either configuration, so the watch can still tell the time when attached to a bag.
This arrangement gives the owner flexibility depending on what they wear or wear. The wristwatch configuration suits everyday use, while the holder turns it into a decorative accessory without requiring a separate timepiece.
Casio also includes Baby Molly and Baby Tabby stickers to customize the holder. The company recommends keeping the decoration off the watch itself and warns that stickers can peel or leave adhesive residue.
BABY-G durability remains part of the package
Despite its character-themed appearance, the BGD-10KPM-7 retains the shock-resistant construction associated with the Casio BABY-G collection.
It also has a 100 meter water resistance rating, which provides protection during everyday activities involving water. However, the rating does not make it a professional diving watch.

The resin case measures 42.8 × 39 × 14.7 mm and weighs approximately 33 grams. Mineral glass protects the digital display, while the supplied band accommodates wrist sizes from 125mm to 180mm.
A replaceable CR1616 battery powers the watch, with Casio estimating around three years of operation under its specified conditions of use.
Durability and battery life figures are based on Casio’s published specifications rather than independent testing.
Everyday digital functions remain intact
The Baby Molly edition includes the digital functions found in conventional BABY-G watches.
World Time covers 29 time zones and 30 cities, allowing users to check the time in different locations. A 1/100-second stopwatch supports elapsed and split time measurements, while the countdown timer can be set for up to 24 hours.
Casio also offers five daily alarms, an hourly time signal, and a fully automatic calendar programmed through 2099.

The LED Super Illuminator illuminates the display for two seconds with an afterglow. Besides showing Baby Molly’s eyes, it helps users read the time in dark environments.
Other features include selectable 12-hour and 24-hour formats and the option to mute button sounds.
Casio specifies a accuracy of ± 30 seconds per month. These functions are not exclusive to collaboration, but they make the watch useful for everyday timekeeping rather than simply serving as a collector’s item.
Is the Casio BABY-G x Baby Molly worth buying?
Those Casio BABY-G x Baby Molly BGD-10KPM-7 is scheduled for release in Japan in November 2026, priced at ¥16,500 including tax in Japan. The Japanese listing does not specify US pricing or availability.
The collaboration makes the most sense for buyers who appreciate POP MART characters or Casio’s colorful BABY-G designs. The removable case and included holder offer two ways to use the watch, while the anniversary engraving and character art add a collectible appeal.

Its practical features are familiar, including shock resistance, 100 meters water resistance, and standard digital timekeeping functions. Buyers who are only interested in these specifications may prefer a regular BABY-G without the collaboration details.
