A power station earns its place in a storm kit by running the right things. That could mean phones and a lamp during a short outage, or enough battery capacity to keep a fridge on the plan. Buying the biggest box on sale can quickly become expensive.
These three options cover different budgets and loads: a compact BLUETTI Elite 30 V2 for small electronics, the larger Elite 100 V2 for a wider essentials setup, and EcoFlow’s DELTA 3 Max Plus for higher combined power requirements. Start with the devices you need, then match their power requirements with the station.

BLUETTI Elite 30 V2: keep the small essentials together
Price: $279.99
Where to buy: Amazon
The Elite 30 V2 packs a 288Wh battery and 600W continuous AC output into an approximately 9.5-pound package. That’s a handy size to carry between rooms when you want a lamp, phone charger and laptop nearby. Its two USB-C ports support up to 100W and 140W, respectively, so that compatible electronics can charge without their wall adapters.
The limit is capacity. A 288Wh battery is much better suited for smaller loads than hours of electric heating. BLUETTI also announces a 1,500W power lifting mode, but that is for compatible resistive devices. It does not turn this into a 1,500W continuous output station.
BLUETTI lists a 45-minute charge to 80 percent under its stated test conditions, with up to 380W AC charging. For emergency preparedness, it is more important than finding a wall outlet when the neighborhood is dark. The solar input is limited to 200W, and the standalone station does not include a panel.
BLUETTI Elite 100 V2: more space for the essentials

Price: $499.00
Where to buy: Amazon
Moving up to the Elite 100 V2 brings 1,024Wh capacity and 1,800W continuous AC output. That gives you significantly more stored energy than the Elite 30 V2 and more space for different devices at the same time. At about 25 pounds, it also asks for more of your weapons and storage space.
This is the size to consider if your list is loaded over phones. Check the running and starting requirements of any device before plugging it in, especially anything with a motor. A refrigerator’s compressor doesn’t draw the same amount of power throughout the day, so a single capacity figure won’t tell you exactly how long yours will last.
BLUETTI specifies up to 1,000W of solar input for this model. This figure describes what the station can accept from a compatible array, not what a panel produces in cloudy winter weather. Panels, connectors and operating conditions are all important, and the station-only offering leaves those decisions up to you.
EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus: plan for more simultaneous demand

Price: $1,149.00
Where to buy: Amazon
The DELTA 3 Max Plus pairs a 2,048Wh battery with 3,000W rated AC output. Its appeal here is more stored energy and more output space for a group of essential devices. These are separate advantages: the watt rating sets the power ceiling, while watt-hours help you plan how long the battery can support a load.
It’s also a bigger commitment to moving. Choose its location before an outbreak rather than assuming that it is as easy to carry room to room as the smaller BLUETTI.
Keep the model name right when shopping. This is the DELTA 3 Max Plus, not the DELTA 3 Max or a solar panel bundle. The related offer is for the power plant itself.
Make a short power plan before buying

Write down what needs to stay, what can run sometimes and what can wait. Phone chargers and a lamp are a completely different job from running a space heater. For an initial planning estimate use a constant 100W load 100Wh per hour. Real battery run time is shorter than a simple capacity division would suggest because the inverter and the station also use energy.
Cold weather preparation also means checking the charging limits. Both manufacturers’ product specifications set a 32°F minimum charging temperature for these models, even though their listed discharge ranges extend below freezing. Keep them dry and operate within their manual temperature and ventilation limits.

For an easy setup, power compatible devices from the station’s own outlets. Connecting backup power with household wiring requires the proper approved equipment and a qualified installer. Pick around the essentials you actually need, and you’ll have a more useful storm kit than one built around the biggest discount badge.
