The next time something breaks on your Google account, don’t expect a wall of text to fix it. Google is quietly replacing its detailed support articles with AI-generated summaries paired with a chatbot (via 9to5Google ).
The new setup, called “Ask Google Help,” gives you a condensed version of the help you need and lets you type follow-up questions directly into Gemini.
How Google’s new support will change your troubleshooting experience
Instead of digging through the Google Help Portal’s maze of links and vague search terms, you’ll now land directly on an AI chat interface when you click on a support link. Gemini guides you through the topic step by step, answering everything you throw at it in clarity.
If you still want the classic full-length guide, there’s a “Read More” button at the bottom that will take you to the original article. Google is also changing the main Help Center experience. An AI assistant helps direct you to relevant answers instead of presenting topic links first.
Is Google replacing all of its support pages?

Major Google services such as Chrome, YouTube, Gmail and Photos have all already made the switch. Most of Google’s consumer and business apps feature the same setup. If there’s something off, expect Google to convert that too.
While I’m not a fan of AI and everything built in, the appeal here is real. Finding the exact support page you need has always been one of Google’s biggest pain points, and Gemini’s ability to understand natural language questions could finally fix that.
That said, Google still warns that AI summaries are sometimes inaccurate. So, make sure you check everything with sensitive issues, such as account security steps.
