Friday is iPhone Duo launch day, and there are plenty of eager customers hoping to head into an Apple Store and get one after a bumpy pre-order launch. In a new interview with TechRadarApple Marketing SVP Greg Joswiak offers insight into demand and in-store availability for the first foldable iPhone.
As for in-store availability, Joswiak said, “You know, we didn’t ship them all during pre-order, we have them available in stores, we’re excited.” … “I’m sure we’ll have some happy customers.”
“Well, I think you saw that the pre-order demand was outstanding last week,” Joswiak added. “People got it. They understood what we were doing.”
In a statement to 9 on 5Mc earlier this week, Apple confirmed that stores have “limited” iPhone Duo availability for walk-in customers in the countries listed below. Joz’s comments add further confirmation that some customers will be happy tomorrow.
- USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Macau, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, and most stores in Italy
Joswiak will be at Apple’s Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York for tomorrow’s iPhone Duo launch. He will likely be joined by other Apple executives, including CEO John Ternus.
