Honor Win 2 Teases World First 2K 185Hz Display

Honor is gearing up to launch its Win 2 series on October 21, and its standout feature is pushing mobile screen boundaries further than ever. Display manufacturer Visionox has confirmed that all models in the upcoming gaming lineup will feature a world-first 2K panel capable of running at a super-fast 185Hz refresh rate.

Break display limits without dropping resolution

Manufacturers usually force mobile gamers to choose between sharp text or ultra-fast frame rates. Well, Honor says this new panel fixes that compromise. The 6.89-inch screen manages to refresh millions of pixels 185 times per second, while maintaining the full 2K resolution across supported titles.

To match these high speeds during intense gaming sessions, the screen packs a 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. There are also 0.93mm razor-thin bezels and 5,920Hz PWM dimming for eye protection. Plus, Honor noted that over 40 popular mobile games already support the panel’s native 185Hz output right out of the box.

Dual active fans and massive battery capacity

Powering the high-end Win 2 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor, paired with a unique dual-fan active cooling setup. Recent benchmark teasers shared by Honor show that the phone has scored over 5.7 million points on AnTuTu. This figure surpasses rival gaming devices such as the RedMagic 12 Pro+.

Meanwhile, earlier leaks revealed that the hardware specifications vary across the three models in the lineup. The standard Win 2 will have a massive 10,100mAh battery with 100W charging. Meanwhile, the Win RT 2 and Win Turbo 2 variants pack an even bigger 12,070mAh battery that runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with a single cooling fan.

An aggressive push for the mobile gaming market

Honor will position the Win 2 series with starting prices listed around 5,499 Yuan (about $822 USD) in China. So, the devices have aggressive value for serious gamers. Skipping telephoto cameras across the lineup keeps the focus strictly on performance and endurance.
