JAŸ-Z to cover the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show
Tonight, Apple Music and the NFL confirmed during the Dallas Cowboys-Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football that “twenty-five-time Grammy Award winner Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Sunday, February 14, 2027.”
The NFL press release hinted at the possibility of JAŸ-Z’s wife, superstar Beyoncé, making a special guest appearance, which would mark her return to the Super Bowl halftime stage for the first time since 2016, when she performed alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. Beyoncé also headlined the halftime show in 2013.
The NFL’s announcement also mentions several celebrities who joined JAŸ-Z during his recent tour, including Blue Ivy Carter, John Legend, DJ Khaled, Too $hort, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg, making them potential candidates for guest appearances in the halftime show as well.
It is worth noting that JAŸ-Z founded Roc Nation, which has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to help select and produce Super Bowl halftime performances. The company will also serve as an executive producer of the show next year.
In the announcement teaser, JAŸ-Z appears surrounded by goats, alongside the tagline “Goat is out of the bag.” The video also features Apple Music’s recently revamped branding.

Earlier this year, the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show with Bad Bunny made history by winning seven Emmy Awards, more than any previous halftime show, despite the controversy surrounding its selection as headliner.
Whether the show will repeat this success next year remains to be seen.
