We finally know when OnePlus will launch the new flagship. OnePlus has set October 12 as the launch date for the OnePlus 16. Note that this is the launch date for China.

It is also worth noting that the device will not launch in the US and Europe. OnePlus took this decision a while back because it decided not to release new devices in these markets. The phone could reach some other global markets, but, like India, it is not yet confirmed.
Regarding the OnePlus 16 launch, the company said: “Delivers the strongest performance ever for performance enthusiasts, the fastest gaming experience for gamers, and a comprehensive flagship configuration inside and out for flagship users.”
This smartphone is fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip; In fact, it could be the ‘extreme’ version of that processor. Its display goes to 185Hz in terms of refresh rate. This phone will again provide a great home for gamers.
It will come with an upgraded camera setup
The company also confirmed that a 200-megapixel main camera is included on the phone, with a 1/1.4-inch sensor size. There is also a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, with a 1/1.95-inch sensor size. The final camera will be a 50-megapixel ultrawide unit.
A bunch of other details have leaked recently. A 9,000mAh battery will be part of the package, along with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Android 17 will come pre-installed, with ColorOS 17 on top of it.
The design of the phone has also appeared, as it seems that it will look a bit like its predecessor. OnePlus decided not to make significant changes to its design. Well, one model will have notification lights on the back, though, it seems.
