Apple’s next-generation iPhone Air 2 is expected to launch next spring alongside the iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e. Several leaks have already hinted at major upgrades, including a slimmer design and dual rear cameras. Now, a new leak has revealed more details about the expected specifications of the phone.
According to the leak, the iPhone Air 2 will have a 6.55-inch flat OLED display. The panel is expected to offer a standard aspect ratio, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1.5K+ resolution.
The device is also tipped to use Apple’s 2nm A20 series chipset. The same chip family was introduced with the iPhone 18 Pro series and iPhone Duo. This could bring improved performance and power efficiency for the slim iPhone.
Camera upgrades are another big part of the expected changes. The iPhone Air 2 is rumored to have two 48MP rear cameras. These include a wide sensor and an ultrawide sensor, replacing the single rear camera on its predecessor.
The battery capacity should also increase. A previous report suggested that the phone could pack a battery of around 3,500mAh or more. However, Apple has yet to confirm the exact capacity.
Other leaks suggest that the iPhone Air 2 will measure just 5.2mm in thickness. It is also expected to feature Apple’s latest N2 wireless chipset and C2 modem. The overall design will remain similar to the original iPhone Air.
Apple has not yet officially announced the iPhone Air 2. More details about its hardware and launch plans will likely come closer to its expected spring 2027 debut.
