The real rollout of One UI 9 to the Samsung Galaxy S26 series in the US has begun. As a reminder, the original rollout started about a week ago, but only for T-Mobile users. It seems like it’s rolling out widely in the US now.
One UI 9 is now hitting more Galaxy S26 series devices in the US
The company’s firmware pages confirm that the update is rolling out to T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and US Cellular. More phones should get it anytime now, on other carriers and unlocked devices.
Note that this update brings a security patch for September 2026. Samsung has confirmed some features that will come to the phones with this update.
The update brings a number of new features and upgrades
My FanCam is an excellent example. This feature can automatically follow a person you select while recording a video and also rotate the footage around them. It is one of the more useful camera features.
Now Nudge is another big inclusion. It can throw up contextual suggestions within notifications and elsewhere in One UI. That includes options to save addresses on Google Maps or enter reservation details.
Samsung’s interpreter also gets a conversational view. It allows you to scroll back through previous translations while you continue speaking.
Privacy also gets a boost
The privacy aspect also gets a boost. A new indicator now appears when an app accesses your location, while Privacy Alerts use on-device AI to flag potentially unnecessary access to personal information.
Security warnings will also pop up through Now Brief when One UI detects malware, apps from unknown sources, or any type of questionable permission.
Samsung Health is getting some new features, and the same goes for Bixby
Samsung Health is also getting a boost. There are redesigned charts, customizable maps, cardio load tracking, and more. Bixby can now activate when you raise the phone to your mouth.
