Reddit gives your scrolling habits a new twist with two homepage feeds designed for different moods. The new ‘For You’ feed draws you into communities you never knew you wanted. Meanwhile, Following keeps things familiar with posts from communities you’ve already joined.
The update will roll out globally in the coming weeks, giving you a choice between discovering something new and catching up on your usual favourites.
Two feeds on Reddit with very different vibes
Following Feed works the way Reddit always has, showing you posts only from the subreddits you’ve joined, making it easier to keep up with topics you already care about. The new feed is here for you, and it recommends communities and conversations based on your interests.
Reddit says this will help you discover something different, whether that’s a fresh perspective, a new interest, or just a conversation worth joining. You can switch between the two feeds whenever you want, and Reddit remembers which one you viewed last, so you don’t have to reset your preferences every time you open the app.
Can you still control what appears in your feed?
Reddit says this is only the first step in making discovery more flexible. The company says it plans to experiment with additional controls, including options to hide posts and indicate what you want to see less often.

Reddit scrapped the old r/all feed earlier this year as it tried to simplify the homepage and improve personalization. Your feed will be more targeted than r/all has ever been, surfacing subreddits based on what you’ve recently reviewed instead of platform-wide popularity.
If you prefer tighter control over your feed, Following will probably still feel like home, but For You is clearly part of Reddit’s plan to keep casual scrollers around a little longer.
