Another nubia A76 4G debuted quietly with a larger display, faster charging battery

The nubia A75 was released in early 2024 – it was an affordable 4G phone. Since then, the company has introduced the nubia A76 4G and the nubia A77 4G. Now it’s time to say hello to the nubia A76! Wait, what? Okay, this is another case of overlapping names because this A76 and the old A76 are not the same.

The new one ZTE nubia A76 4G Features a 6.75″ display – it only has 720p + resolution and only runs at 90Hz, but it is better than what the other A76 has (6.5″ 720p + 60Hz). This display promises a modest 500 nits brightness.

nubia mentions the “flagship-inspired design” for the new phone, which we think is code for a full-width camera island. You can see the same design on a phone that was launched as the Blade A76 4G. In fact, the Blade model seems to have identical specs to this nubia A76, so keep that in mind when we say “new”.

Comparing back to Nubia A models, the new A76 has a 50MP “triple camera”. We put that in quotes because we don’t know anything about the other two modules.

Crucially, the new nubia A76 is powered by an unnamed chipset with an octa-core 1.8GHz CPU. The company advertises 4.5G, but there is no exact standard or list of upload and download speeds. If you want 5G, maybe check out this nubia A77.

The new nubia A76 4G has a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W charging

Another improvement is the charging speed – the battery still has a 5,000mAh capacity, but at least now it supports 22.5W charging, up from the glacial 10W that the other A76 supports. And the new model got an A in the EU energy efficiency tests, so nice.
