Ecovacs Winbot W3 OMNI test report

Those Ecovacs Winbot W3 Omni was presented at CES 2026 in Las Vegas at the beginning of the year and it has finally arrived and I can use it in my Ecovacs Winbot W3 OMNI test report to introduce

I have already tested a window cleaning robot with Omnistation, I would like to link you to my video about the Ecovacs Winbot W2 OMNI. But the Winbot W3 Omni offers a very special new function: the Omni Station basically has one washing machine included, which cleans the mopping pad.

Ecovacs Winbot W3 OMNI Test Report – Unboxing / hands-on

OMNI station

So now I unpacked it and here we have the OMNI station, which as you can see is quite large. Behind him is the window cleaning robot.

The station now has the possibility to keep containers for dirty water and fresh water, because here we basically have a small washing machine for the mop pads. The OMNI station is also somewhat reminiscent of the vacuum robots from Ecovacs, as the stations also have containers for fresh water and dirty water.

There is also an information display on top of the station, which also shows the status, but also gives the possibility to start the functions with the buttons around it.

The power plug and a safety rope are behind a flap on the back. There is also the possibility to connect the included additional battery.

The station has a carrying handle for easy transport and another special feature is that it can suction to the surface when parked for further safety. For example, if you want to clean the outer windows on high floors.

Window cleaning robot

And here we have the W3 window cleaning robot. Built to a high standard and now with a wipe pad on the floor that can be removed and put on quickly and easily. There is no longer a loose cleaning cloth that you have to carefully attach to the bottom of the robot. Instead, the cleaning cloth is now firmly attached to a plastic frame and is therefore much easier to attach. I think this is really great.

On the top there is the handle and also the filling neck for the cleaning liquid. Also the button to get the robot back out of the window.

To begin, we must first fill the cleaning fluid and wet the wipe in the station. Fortunately, it won’t take that long, so we can start quickly.

When the station is switched on, we can simply hold the robot to the window and it will automatically vacuum and then start the set cleaning program. You have the choice between a faster cleaning if you clean your windows regularly anyway, or a thorough cleaning if, like me, you “forget” to clean your windows for a year.

The robot will then make its tracks on the window. For each strip, the cleaning liquid is then distributed to the window via the atomizers on the front. The robot then moves its damp cloth over the window. It is not as advanced as we know from vacuum robots that rely on vibrating or rotating mop attachments. All you really need to do is pull the damp cloth along the window with pressure.

An innovation in the Winbot W3 OMNI is that special cleaners are now also installed in the corners, which rotate and therefore clean the edges even more thoroughly.

As soon as it is finished with the cleaning process, park it and you can leave it out of the window by pressing the button. The station also gives instructions through the speakers, so it’s very easy and you don’t have to be a tech nerd to use it. I would definitely go so far that even my parents, who have nothing to do with technology, can use the Winbot W3 OMNI.

By the way, there is also the Ecovacs app, which we can connect to the window cleaning robot, but can actually be used all over the station, which is cool.

Of course, the washcloth looks the same after work, definitely not appetizing, and so it is now cleaned in the washing machine. Here we can choose between a quick and a thorough cleaning. If there is little dirt, a quick cleaning is enough. The remaining cleaning time is always shown on the display, it goes really fast. After that the wipe looks great again and we are ready for the next window.

The only important thing is that when you are done, you also empty the container for the dirty water, so that no odors build up here. Simply empty, wash and let dry. The same thing with the station. After I have finished everything, I empty all the containers and turn on the light of the station to let them dry.

Ecovacs Winbot W3 OMNI Test Report – Conclusion

What is my conclusion about the Ecovacs Winbot W3 OMNI? If we look at the price, it is of course only worth it for most people, if they also have a lot of windows. In my opinion, it makes particular sense if you have really tall windows where you just don’t feel like or have the time to clean them by hand. For example in a large window front or in the winter garden. Since the robot can also clean at an angle, it is also suitable for this.
