Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6.1 is the latest software update to release for the Google Pixel devices, and this includes the availability for Pixel 11 series phones like the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This update lands just five days after Google just pushed out Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6, which was released on September 24 to compatible devices.
In that update, the changes were mostly about fixing bugs that have been plaguing devices for a while. For example, Android 17 QPR2 Beta 6 rolled out fixes for a pretty significant issue that was causing people’s phones to crash when simply scrolling through content on their device.
Other fixes include “mailbox content flowing through the status bar during app transitions,” and a certain Pixel 9 Pro Fold bug that caused the device to restart, but only after third-party apps opened the camera viewfinder. Today’s update appears much less substantial with fewer fixes, but only because Google doesn’t really list any changes that are part of the update.

As noted by 9To5Google, the release notes for this update don’t mention much in terms of details about what the update actually fixes, except for a small description about one of Google’s latest phones. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets a fix in this update, specifically for an issue related to Face Unlock.
Google does not confirm that there was a Face Unlock problem, but it mentions in the release notes that users who install this beta software can re-enroll Face Unlock. There are also two different builds of this beta software. One build, CP41.260831.011, is targeted at the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The other build, CP41.260831.007.A3, is intended for any other device that is compatible with the Android Beta Program and enrolled.
