The iQOO 16 became official in China earlier this week. Now if you were wondering if it will be available in India, a tipster over at X today tells us that it is a real possibility as the phone has allegedly started some testing procedures in the country.
So it is quite likely that it will be launched in India in the coming weeks. However, the big question is how much it will end up costing. Over in China, it starts at CNY 5,999, which is roughly INR 86,000 or $894.
The aforementioned tipster claims that it could actually be priced closer to INR 100,000 ($1,039), which would definitely make it a tough sell, especially since its predecessor started at INR 72,999 ($759) just a year ago. It’s not like the iQOO 16 is lacking in the specs department, though.
It has a 6.85-inch Samsung-made M16 AMOLED display with 1440×3168 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 10,000-nit peak brightness, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, 12/16GB RAM, 2256GB/515GB RAM, 2256GB/5101 camera a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide with autofocus, a 32MP selfie camera, and an 8,400 mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. It runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7 on top.
