Some key specifications for an upcoming Realme 17 Pro series phone leaked last month, but its identity was not clear – it could have been either the Pro or the Pro+. Today, a new report citing industry sources specifically details the Realme 17 Pro, and the differences suggest that the previous leak described its higher sibling.
The 17 Pro will reportedly come with a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, the Dimensity 7300 chipset, a 50MP main camera, and an 8MP ultrawide. The selfie camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps, although its resolution is not clear – it could be either 32MP or 50MP.
The handset is also said to have a 10,000 mAh battery, an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance ratings, and ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
The previous leak mentions the Dimensity 7500, a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom, and an ultrawide. It also listed a flat 1.5K OLED screen that usually runs at 120Hz and up to 165Hz in some games, a plastic frame, a camera module that resembles the 16 Pro +, and the same 10,000 mAh battery.
The tipster behind that leak then suggested that the phone could be the Pro+ or Pro Max. With today’s report admitting the more modest specs for the simple Pro, that definitely seems plausible.
