A Vivo executive recently said that the X500 Ultra will be unveiled in China in March or April next year, and it looks like the phone won’t be confined to that single market. Today, its global version is shown in an IMEI database in Turkey with the model number V2660. There is also a listing for the Jovi X500 Ultra, with the model number J2613. Jovi is the brand that vivo uses for its phones in Brazil, so the X500 Ultra is likely to be sold there as well.

This wouldn’t be a first, as the vivo X300 Ultra was the company’s first Ultra to go global. It was unveiled in China on March 30, its global rollout began in April, and it arrived in Brazil as the Jovi X300 Ultra in August.
As for the X500 Ultra itself, its key specs have been tweaked recently. It will reportedly have the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset at the top and a flat 6.85-inch 2K LTPO AMOLED screen from BOE with a 144Hz refresh rate and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Its latest engineering sample is reportedly testing a larger 1/1.2-inch sensor for the 200MP periscope telephoto camera, up from 1/1.4-inch on its predecessor.
The 35mm main camera may switch to a 50MP sensor with improved stabilization, and the battery is rumored to be somewhere between 7,000 mAh and 8,000 mAh, up from 6,600 mAh on the X300 Ultra. It’s still unclear when exactly the global version will be released, but if the X300 Ultra is anything to go by, it shouldn’t arrive long after the China launch.
