You don’t need to wait until Black Friday to get a feature-packed Android phone for cheap

OPPO has taken £72 off the Reno16 F 5G, a 15% cut on a phone with an IP69K-rated body and a 50MP telephoto lens with 3.5x zoom.

Listed at an original price of £479, the OPPO Reno16 F 5G now costs £407 at Amazon, a £72 saving or 15% off a phone that pairs its rugged build with a 6,500mAh battery and 45W fast charging.

Dropping the price down to just over £400 puts a 2026 handset that comes SIM-free and unlocked, with dual SIM support, within reach of anyone who wants modern features without stretching for flagship money.

The modern features start with durability, as the IP69K rating means that the OPPO Reno16 F 5G resists dust, splashes and high-pressure water, so a sudden rain or spilled drink becomes much less of a worry.

All that protection fits into a seamless unibody just 8.44mm thick and weighs 194g. It sits comfortably in one hand despite the 6.57 inch screen and slips into a pocket without the bulk you’d expect.

This 6.57-inch FHD + AMOLED display reaches 1,400 nits so it remains clear in bright sunlight, while its 120Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color keep scrolling smoothly and photos, videos and games look rich and vivid.

These photos come from a 50MP main sensor with OIS for steady shots day and night, joined by that telephoto lens on the rear and a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera with room for the whole group.

Turning those shots into something valuable takes a few taps, with AI tools in ColorOS 16 that auto-collage photos and video, crop out people or pets, and record from the front and rear cameras at the same time.

Every shot and change is supported by the 6,500mAh battery, which OPPO rates at more than two days of use on a single charge. If necessary, 45W SUPERVOOC charging station takes it from 1% to 100% in 60 minutes.

Anyone who gets this year’s best OPPO phones shortlist will get rugged IP69K protection, 45W fast charging and three 50MP cameras in a slim body with the OPPO Reno16 F 5G, now £407 with £72 knocked off the usual price.
