Razer’s latest headphones come with mechanical cat ears and RGB lighting

Razer’s penchant for occasionally trying more quirky hardware setups isn’t exactly new, as seen with its “Kitty” gear line. In fact, the company recently announced the launch of Kraken Kitty V3a new wired gaming and streaming headset designed for content creators and people looking for something a little unique.

Priced at $99.99, the headset is designed with plug-and-play USB-C connectivity, and can work with PC setups and mobile devices. Razer adds that it designed the Kitty V3 to be comfortable, with hybrid fabric and leather ear cushions for long-lasting comfort.

The headphones also come with stream-reactive kitty ears and ear cups that also feature Razer Chroma RGB, with support for 16.8 million colors and customizable lighting effects via Razer’s Streamer Companion app. This allows the mechanical ears to dynamically respond to alerts, emotions and chat activity during use; Users can also connect the fixed USB Type-C cable to a portable power bank to keep RGB lighting on the go, along with three onboard presets for different lighting modes.
